MYRTLE BEACH REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORP. HIRES NEW STAFF MEMBERS

Conway, SC – October 15, 2013 – Representatives of the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation are pleased to announce the addition of Morgan Dendy and Kristen Free to their staff.

Morgan Dendy joins the EDC as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

Dendy is a Horry County native and graduate of the University of South Carolina. After earning her Bachelors degree in Public Relations, she returned to Myrtle Beach to pursue a career in Sales and Marketing. Prior to the EDC, Mrs. Dendy worked at The Brandon Agency, as a Program Coordinator. In her new position, she will be responsible for managing all targeted marketing initiatives and media coordination for the EDC.

Kristen Free also joins the EDC staff as the Director of Membership Services.

After attending college in Charlotte, NC, Free joined the Grand Strand workforce as a Mortgage Lender at Coastal Federal Bank in 2005. Prior to the EDC, Ms. Free worked at SCE&G & Hub International, where she was responsible for Business Development and Managing Key Accounts. In her new position, she will be responsible for the recruitment and retention of EDC members.

“We are thrilled to have Morgan and Kristen on board. They have joined our staff at a very exciting time, and we are looking forward to utilizing their talents and experience to take the EDC to the next level,” said Brad Lofton, President and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation.
